A short unforgettable trip to Seoul in 2003

My first trip to Seoul was in October 2003, and I owe a big thanks to my two friends for making this trip happen. For the first two nights, I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul, which is not only located in a great area but is also a beautiful hotel.

While walking around the area near the Intercontinental Hotel, I came across an interesting event. I did not know anything about this event but took lots of pictures using my Minolta film camera. This was my first time seeing Korean men and women wearing beautiful and colorful traditional dresses. Most importantly, I was very happy to witness a beautiful fan dance performed by dancers dressed in vibrant pink traditional attire. I am excited to share the pictures I took at this event and a few others taken during my visit. Since the pictures were in different sizes, I used the free Gimp program to add a background and make them landscape pictures.

For the remainder of my trip, I stayed at the Crown Hotel. All of the hotel employees were very friendly and helpful, with the exception of one issue with the power adapter. Since I did not bring a universal adapter, I was unable to use my computer. There was a small gift shop in the lobby run by a friendly owner where I even bought a few dolls. I was very impressed with the Insadong Tourist Information Center located in the neighborhood because I could use their computer to check my emails for free.
