My Experience Staying at Beautiful Studio in Historic Alfama

• Finding the accommodation and settling into the room:  During this trip, I encountered some challenges in locating the property and accessing the room from the main road. To assist fellow travelers, I have compiled a comprehensive set of directions in my blog, providing step-by-step instructions to make the process smoother and more convenient.
• Walking with luggage from the main road: The narrow street roads leading to the property caused hesitation for my taxi driver to navigate through them. As a result, I decided to walk with my luggage from the main road, maneuvering through the narrow street roads to reach the property.
• Tourist attractions: A great place to stay, conveniently located within walking distance of several tourist attractions.
• Television did not work: Encountered an issue with the TV, but the owner responded promptly to my texts and made efforts to fix it. However, despite their attempts, the issue remained unresolved, and I ultimately decided to forego using the TV.
• No front desk: There was no reception, restaurant, or housekeeping service available. To seek assistance, we had to contact the property owner through phone or text, and they were prompt in responding to our inquiries.
• Kitchen: The kitchen was fully equipped, complete with a small refrigerator, providing the convenience of preparing meals. During my stay, I utilized the kitchen to make tea and boil noodles..
• Washing Machine: A washing machine, washing powder, iron box, and ironing board were provided for guests' convenience. I took advantage of these amenities and used the washing machine to launder my shirts during my stay
• Additional Fees:  A cleaning fee per stay was required, along with a city tax of 2 Euros per night per person. However, the property owner promptly refunded any overpayment. In my case, although I had paid for two people, I was the only one who stayed, and the owner promptly reimbursed the overpaid amount.

• Would I recommend it to my fellow travel friends?  Absolutely. It is a delightful place to stay for a few days and explore the attractions in the charming Alfama area. I highly recommend it to all travelers, as long as they are comfortable with this type of accommodation that deviates from the typical hotel atmosphere
